We are delighted to announce that Professor Joanna Olesiak-Bańska, our team leader, has
been elected to join the prestigious Academia Professorum Iuniorum!

Founded in October 2023 by Rector Professor Arkadiusz Wójs, the Academia Professorum
Iuniorum represents a cornerstone of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology’s
initiatives to foster and advance scientific excellence. The organization’s mission is to identify
and support the scientific growth of a select group of outstanding, young, and independent
academics from diverse disciplines.

The newly elected cohort of 18 professors will commence their tenure on January 1, 2025, for
a two-year term. This brings the total membership of Academia Professorum Iuniorum to its
target of 36 members. Each member will receive a two-year internal grant of PLN 120,000 to
support their research endeavors. This funding is intended to facilitate the establishment or
expansion of research teams and to enable the pursuit of new and innovative research topics.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Olesiak-Bańska and all the elected
members for this remarkable achievement!
