Scientific interests:

  • Self-assembly process of peptides and proteins,
  • One- and multiphoton excited autofluorescence properties of amyloid fibrils,
  • Role of peptide sequence, the secondary structure and morphology in optical properties of higher-order peptide aggregates;

Expertise:

  • Solid-phase peptide synthesis,
  • Development of protocols leading to the formation of amyloid fibrils,
  • Atomic force microscopy (AFM),
  • Absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies,
  • Time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy,
  • Circular dichroism spectroscopy,
  • Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (attenuated total-reflectance),
  • Optical microscopy.

Achievements:

  • 2021 - Primus contest for highly published scientific paper, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
  • 2021 - InterDocSchool project co-financed by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA within the STER Programme “Internationalisation of doctoral schools” – foreign mobility for a period of 3 months.
  • 2021 - InterDocSchool project co-financed by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA within the STER Programme “Internationalisation of doctoral schools” – scholarship for the best WUST doctoral students implementing PhD in international cooperation.
  • 2021 – award of the Dean of Department of Chemistry for scientific achievements.
  • 2017-2019 – Master Degree students scholarship, Université Paris-Saclay (France).
  • 2015 – Bionanomaterials – BioNaM scholarship for a 3-month internship abroad (SIOD GmbH).
